In Scientia Opportunitas

Translation: In knowledge there is opportunity.

I find it appropriate to end this blog with a Latin title, seeing as we have learned so much over the course of five weeks. This quote also sums up the entire course in one sentence! I have learned so much over these weeks. I have grown as a scientist and as a person. I have formed friendships that will last years to come and I have met so many amazing people.

This last week at UNF was truly an unforgettable experience. Being able to spend 24 hours in an estuary really changes your perception of environments and their dynamics.

From day...
...to night!
This course has been an eye opening experience for me and I would like to personally thank every single person involved! But the person who deserves the most credit is the person who carried us all through thick and thin; The person who shared our lives with us for the duration of this study; The person who lugged home hundreds of groceries to appease us; that person is Breanna Korsman! She not only protected and provided for us, but she was the one person who we could always rely on. And for that we are eternally in your debt!
