FGCU
The last few days at FGCU were a blast I learned so much this past week. On Thursday we went out and surveyed a sea grass bed which was a really cool opportunity to learn some of the strategies to collect data for future research. Then of Friday we went out and observed several different oyster reefs and got to see first hand all the organisms that live on the oyster reefs and why they are such a vital asset to our ecosystems. I learned that a single oyster can filter from 4-34 liters per hour which is another reason why the oyster reefs are so important. I am now at the Keys Marine Lab and can not wait to get this week started and to see what we have in store.
